Transport for New South Wales (Transport) wanted to present a digital Review of Environmental Factors (REF) for the Mamre Road Upgrade project, and used PlanEngage to develop a bespoke REF and community feedback platform.
PlanEngage provided software hosting and training for all software users and an extended period of hypercare.
The intent of the project was to implement faster and more effective environmental processes, secure stronger engagement with communities and key stakeholders and seek meaningful feedback through an accessible and interactive platform.
- A customized pop-up welcomed first-time users to the site and explained how to use the platform.
- A community feedback icon was customised for the project’s specific requirements and directed feedback straight to the community engagement team.
- Interactive GIS map pages provided detailed environmental impact information to the community, increasing the transparency and accessibility of this information.
